Fiji the Guide Dog and Her Family

In Episode 5 of The Story of My Pet Podcast I welcome my guest, Lois Strachan. Lois is a disability advocate, a professional speaker, author of 6 books, a blogger, podcaster, a sometime rock musician, and an intensely grateful guide dog owner. She became blind at the age of 21 as a result of diabetes. Lois lives in Cape Town, South Africa with her husband and a house full of dogs (you’ll hear from a few during the podcast).

In this episode, Lois and I chat about the 3 guide dogs she has been honored to have assist her over the years.. She talks about their individual and unique personalities, guide dog training, and the role her dogs play in her life and family.
