Speaker 1:

Hello, my friends and fellow animal lovers, welcome to the trailer for season two of the story of my pet podcast. I am your host, julie Marty Pearson, as always, so excited to be here to announce that new episodes are going to be dropping in the next few days. I'm excited to be bringing you more animal stories from all over the world. Some incredible pet parents I've already recorded interviews with, and so many more to come. I've shared their stories of their fur babies, past and present. One of the most amazing things about this podcast is the ability to share information with others and the ways that we can make an impact in our own community. That is something that I will be doing even more this season. I have already interviewed some amazing people who volunteer and work in animal rescue and in animal shelters, and they'll be sharing their stories of how they got involved, what they're seeing on the front lines and how you can help in your own community.

Speaker 1:

There's so many ways that we can help animals, even if it's not the right time for you to adopt. You can follow rescues and shelters on social media and share their posts. You can donate your time, money or supplies. Time is even more important to many of the shelters and rescues, because they need help taking care of the overwhelming number of dogs and cats that they have right now. Fostering is huge as well. We'll talk a lot about fostering in upcoming episodes, what you can do to prepare to become a foster and the best way to be able to prepare your family for bringing foster cats, kittens, dogs or puppies into your home. I'm going to do my best to interview people that will give you firsthand experience and let you know what you can do to help the animals in need in your community as well as around the US.

Speaker 1:

As always, if you love the podcast, please share it with your family and friends so that we can grow and even more people can hear these important stories of animals in need and why pets are just the best and everybody should have more.
